Review
Cities of Earth 3D Screensaver shows many cities of the Earth as if you were in the space. It also displays information about the cities including their countries, the number of inhabitants, and the time in their time zones. It also represents the time in your time zone in the lower right corner of the screen. From the settings menu in the properties (screensaver tab) you can also set it to show FPS, the quality of graphics, and whether you want to see the base cities only or also those added to the txt file. If you want to add your city, you should press Add my city in the Settings menu and follow the instructions listed on the webpage. It would be great if that procedure could be done in a simpler way from within the program, since it is not very easy to perform.
Regarding the graphics, they are good, but not impressive. Unfortunately, it includes neither music nor the option to add your own soundtracks, which would also be great.
All in all, Cities of Earth 3D Screensaver is a nice representation of the Earth, but I'm sure there are much better ones out there. |
